DUKE BONILLA

Duke Bonilla is a South Texas native and belongs to a network of family members practicing law throughout Texas. He proudly served as a member of the Texas A&M University Corp of Cadets, and obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He is a law school graduate of South Texas College of Law.

A long time advocate of education and community involvement, Duke worked himself up the school district system ladder as a History teacher, Coach, Administrator, and Campus Principal. He started Early College High Schools at two difference school districts in South Texas. He worked tirelessly to improve the lives of students to offer them better opportunities for future success before leaving to pursue a degree in law.

His hobbies include hunting and fishing, and he was instrumental in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the largest bay debris cleanup in the Coastal Bend. He was active in the Coastal Conservation Association and served as President of the Corpus Christi Chapter. He co-founded the Saltwater-Fisheries Enhancement Association that continues to make a difference today.

Duke’s primary areas of practice include family law, personal injury, and criminal law. He is a member of the Texas Bar Association and a past member of the League of United Latin American Citizens.  He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife, Nancy.
